The 60th Meeting of the Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN60), organized by APAN and hosted by JUCC, was held from 28 July to 1 August 2025 in Hong Kong, China. In the context of this meeting, the BGPWatch project team organized one project session on 30 July 2025, focusing on project updates, partner insights, and future planning.
During the session, Professor Changqing An presented the latest technical updates of the BGPWatch platform, outlining recent developments and ongoing enhancements. In addition, three project partners were invited to share their operational experiences and practical insights gained from the day-to-day use of the platform:
- Chalermpol Charnsripinyo, Senior Research Specialist, NECTEC and ThaiREN
- Mohammad Tawrit, CEO, BdREN
- Kwok Wai Pong, HARNET Technical Support, JUCC
The session covered the current deployment status, operational use cases, and benefits of BGPWatch in opreational environments. Partner contributions provided valuable user-centric perspectives, highlighting platform strengths, implementation challenges, and recommendations for future improvement.
In the conclusion of the session, following the completion of the second phase of the APNIC Foundation–funded project, certificates of participation were presented to project partners. The BGPWatch project is inherently collaborative in nature, with partner institutions contributing collectively to the continued development of the platform and the strengthening of the BGPWatch community.
