The 61st Meeting of the Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN61), organized by APAN and hosted by BdREN, was held from 26 to 30 January 2026 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In this meeting, the BGPWatch project organized two sessions on 29 January 2026, a technical training session and a knowledge/experience-sharing session.
The training session delivered hands-on instruction on the BGPWatch platform and was led by project partners from BdREN. The session was structured to equip network engineers and operators with practical, experience-driven guidance on the effective use and operation of the BGPWatch platform in real-world environments.
The knowledge- and experience-sharing session brought together project partners from KISTI, NepalREN, LEARN, and PERN to present and discuss their first-hand experiences with BGPWatch. This session emphasized real-world deployment scenarios, operational use cases, and lessons learned from an end-user perspective, thereby complementing the technical training. The primary objective was to facilitate the exchange of users’ insights and to explore future platform enhancements through project partners’ feedback.
In total, more than 50 project partners and APAN participants attended the two sessions. The discussions enabled participants to exchange practical experiences, identify areas for improvement, highlight operational challenges, and explore opportunities for further collaboration within the BGPWatch community.
