Bio:

Dr. Jilong Wang is a tenured professor in the Institute of Network Science and Cyberspace in Tsinghua University of China. He serves as director of Key Laboratory of Internet Architecture, Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology. He is now chair of Asia-Pacific Advanced Network APAN, an international organization on research and education Internet. He is PI of an international cooperation project on cyberspace governance (2020-2023, 23 interdisciplinary institutions from 14 countries, https://www.cgtf.net). He is the CTO of Future Internet Technology Infrastructure project of China(2019-2023, more than 30 million USD budget). He is director of CITIC Networks, a major telecom company of china. He is the member of Governor Committee of Asi@Connect, an important international project led by EU for promoting the research and education network development in Asia Pacific region.

 

2000-07, Graduated from Tsinghua University with phD degree of computer science.

2000-08~2003-12, assistant professor of Tsinghua University, China.

2003-12~2010-12, associate professor of Tsinghua University, China.

2010-12~present, professor of Tsinghua University, China.

He used to be director of CERNET2 NOC since 2004 to 2016 and director of TEIN/Asi@Connect NOC since 2005 to 2016.
